Incredibly strong NE for this time of year.
Found the 165 stabiliser very twitchy, chnaged to the 200 and it was much better.
Good to see Tony, Brett and Susie

330 days ago 2 categories Jimmy's beach, nsw. Patrik 120, Hellcat 8.2, 38 vector weed. Hello spring 2025. Racing dump trucks, a dead 10ft shark on the beach. Alone then after I stopped visitors from the other side came. I think it's the bloke aus747 I filmed at Budgy the other day And two wingers. The morning presented a big challenge, getting ready with too much gear and no idea what to use. I took a foil board for if it was light wind, and the Patrik f-race in case it was windy enough. It was powered nicely. I've never used that combo here and been keen to give it a try. Thanks new sponsor Bodo's sails - big hole in the middle, he didn't want anymore, seems good to me. Some practice in winter has let me come out swinging here first nor easter, yeeha. One of the best sessions ever here. Looks like a few got out today, stoked for all.

I still have my 100% gybing record on the wingding thing. 100% crashing each gybe. Today I mixed it up a bit...crashing in a straight line!

7.5m turbo - RS4 ( 111ltres) - 24cms FF
then 7.2m Moto - Rs2 ( 90ltres) - 22 cms Atomic
That was great! best fun since last summer.
I was overpowered on the big kit but hung on for a while then came in and changed down .I could have used the 6.5m in the strong stuff.
Finally got my act together and did my overpowered upwind technique. I haven't been able to get it together for a few years now. Very comfy and easy and I point really well.
Speeds aren't as good as I expected. There was flatwater and I was really powered at times. The flatwater was amongst the weedbergs and even dodging the big ones I think the underwater weed slowed us a bit.
With the strong patchy W , I haven't had a decent gybing session for months , and wanted a refresher.
I surprised myself. My starboard tack ones out in the 'chop' felt really good. Smooth , slick. My inside ones need work on the rig flip plus you'd often end up on the bottom because it was so shallow.
Only Mike , a local guy and I. Where was everyone? You missed a killer day..
