| kato (2177km): Area 45, Mahers Landing, VIC, AU That was a blast. Just 4 sailors made it to the water as it was gusting 30-35 ESE. Been awhile since I've done a 40 kt run but couldn,t get the ave as the wind backed off and went a bit sth. Tomorrows same again , so another play. Sailquik (530km): ![]() A45. Inverloch. Windy!! ESE to E wind. Quite gusty. 25-30 with gusts 35Kts. Just a few degrees to tight for max speed whcih I could only get by bearing away a few degrees at the end of the run. That very quickly got us into heavy chop, so it couldnt be done for very far. Great to feel full power in a 4.7m sail again though. It's been a Long Time!! We were all a tad nervous about the biggest guts over 35 on the beach, but it turned out pretty good. I saw a peak of 41.5 on the screen, but in the end the 2 sec was just under 41. Very happy with that. Kato and Kempster going for it and a guy on a 6m sail and slalom board!! Another couple of locals piked it, and I dont really blame them. Looks like another few days of this to come. I was going to go and check out LG, but after studying the local forecasts and tides, it was a no brainer to just stay local. CA40, Atomic Nuclear 15.5cm, KA Race/speed 4.7m. Mini Motion gps

But a couple of others had a go on their wave gear and survived for a short time.
