205 days ago Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU. Patrik 120, KA race 6.3, warp flex 18, pepe 23 - CA92 aswell.. Started with 120 and warp 18. A hoot! Possibly the most fun of the day. Going in mega light breeze. It does some strange things, kind of sliding action when slightly off the wind, otherwise pretty fine. Seems to gybe well. Pic of that session.
Then, i got speed fever and tried on the CA92 with delta 19 and mostly struggled getting around. Top speed 28kts. Trying trying to get her goin but nope. Pretty buggered by this stage but wanted to find out how 120ltr would go so back out with pepe 23, motoring! I’d forgotten watch that time so it was a great feeling to see the 30 later off the motion. Before knowing speed i was happy that i knew i’d given it all today. A few hard days sailing. Patchy. 100% fun super Budgy vibe with legends.

First outing at Budgie in a Noreaster for a couple of years. Felt pretty rusty.

6.5m Turbo - RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22cms Atomic
Sailed 12.25 - 4.25pm with breaks
I went out 1st and had a fun 20kms but then decided to wait for more wind. Sat in the water for 30mins till it started to come in.. Not a bad way to handle a 38 degree day.
Fun but frustrating.
I was pretty powered up at times but it didn't translate into speed.
The Turbo was trying to turn itself inside out in the gusts by the end.
I tried following the others , going through the weed ( fun but lots of drag) and below the weed ( fun but hard to get strong wind).
Finally figured out what I was doing wrong with gybes at the end of the bearaways and started getting some lovely ones..
One scary moment I was on a powered bearaway down the E side and the fin started to go chink , chink on the bottom..I couldn't go any deeper , only turn up into the shallows..survived, but I didn't go that far in again.
Me , then Mobsy , Mike , Bruce , Andrew, Brian , Pugs , Bruce, Greg K and Greg F , Macca , Mitchy and others.
