Fuck that was mint.
Been hanging out for an Albany sesh, but the forecasts haven't been lining up with the weekends. Until now
Saw a solid forecast and decided to take a punt and drive down for it, and stoked that I scored.
First 80 kays on the Windtech 57 + 7.0 M3 + 20 Delta Speed.
Started with an hour, cos I figured I wouldn't want to do one later. Happy to PB, it wasn't especially quick, cos I was sailing in chop for a lot of it, but the wind was steady at least.
Went for a mile after that, but aborted mid run, cos it was draggy water and the wind was patchy.
Went for a few Alphas and some speed runs, and then the 7.0 started to feel overpowered, so I went in to change down to the CA53 + 6.3 SCR, as the breeze started to build.
Hit the water on this combo, and there were some nice spurts, but overall I think the breeze dropped and I didn't go any quicker than I had on the 57.
I had another crack at the mile, and it was undercooked at the beginning, but picked up at the end.
Kept sailing until 5, hoping the wind would kick, but it didn't get any better.
So, not necessarily epic, but good to average Albany is still well worth the drive
Great to catch up with Ant, Doddi and Ronnie, and it's been too long since I had a good sesh on the fin!

Stoked to trade the heat of perth for the cool waters of Albany. Not many crew made it down so had plenty of space :) Good to see the Pointman back on the fin,Doddie back into it, Shane making an appearence,Shroom killing it ,Rob sending it, the Rondog smoking it on his home ground and Marree and Anita going full throttle. Powerd by the 87, ISO,53 PAT,48 PAT,6.3 Avanti,5.6 Point 7, 22 Delta,18,20 DS.
