Went out in light wind with 8m then wind kicked in big time. Byron came out with 7.5 and here I was battling with an 8!

By far the strangest day for wind here.
Went out in light Westerly waiting for the breeze to kick in. Came in at good 12 knots so plenty of long runs with 8m Flight sail.
Breeze kept building to the point it was getting a bit hairy with big sail and big foil. Headed in as others were going out.
Dropped back to a smaller front wing and 6m Retro. Wind died as others were coming in.
Westerly front pushed through. Mick was keen to get back amongst it so went back out with him.
Big waves and gusts up to 30 knots finished that session quickly.
Breeze continued to swing toward the east so went back out again for a few more runs until that died as well.
Been an interesting week so far.

248 days ago 1 categories Mungo Brush, NSW, AU. Skywing 94ltr, FlyII 5.4, axis 1300/325. Mental Mungo. Was sure I would be marooned in the shipping channel, eventually I was. The wing is hard to handle in gusty, no wind high wind kinda wind, with 6ft chop. This is when it went evil north west? What was that!? There was no way to stop the wing getting backwinded once on the beach, super awkward battle I'm sure the goannas were laughing at me at Angophora car park. After that, a daring glide toward Mungo point trusting the renewed south east breeze but that was it really. I should have stopped on that one and I wouldn't have come unstuck in the nasty zone and had a paddle back. I still surf a bit so I can still paddle. That thing is hard to paddle though. It got very hard toward shore. Was making no progress so went back to kneel position, realised I was on the bottom, woops.

Nice day at Myall. Wind was all over the place during the day but good sailing most of the time.
FFF175, Isonic 117 for 2 runs and that was the 25 knots.7 m switchblade. , IQ800 115 foil.
And finished the day with a few goes trying a Wing on my foil board.
