Sue turned up along with other ultra keensters Jorn and Paul along with a clear patch in the sky then it all changed, we got a nice sail in the sun.

Started a patcy 13 - 18kts then built to 15 - 20kts SSE
6.2m M2OD- 90ltres- 22cms Atomic
Early shift. Just Dave and I then Jorn and Paul.
Everyone else came out when it kicked in.
Very happy with my sailing. I usually just go up and down wind and my crosswind speed maxed out at c 26 / 7 kts.
I had a go crosswind today while gybing and the Garmin said 29.7kts.
Groundhog day with the gybes.I worked out I start the alpha too off the wind, go too wide and am at c 80m and try and go upwind on the exit.
There was one I thought might be good but I stuffed it by doing a little dogleg after the rig flip. I was very maxed out so I decided to get in the rear strap for security. I missed it and my foot was behind the rear strap.
I was too maxed out to risk moving it so I left it right on the tail.
I was very happy with my gybes and they were a total buzz so gave up on alphas and just had fun.
