Got tthere for lunch and rigged the 6.5m - 90 for the forecast wind.. realised that wasn't happeninng so rigged bigger..Spent c 1hr rigging gear and my Garmin said I'd walked 1.6kms by the time I got both sets at the water..
Then the slog out in the mud..I'm almost the stage of wondering if the sailing is worth all the crap..
Early bird. Just Jeff down in the bay and me.
More Sw when I went out and I kept getting knocked on port tack so spent most of my time working / dredging to get upwind. Heaps of flatwater and great fun gybing. Not enough for powered up bearaways.
I got caught in the uphaul again even though I'd shortened it. I just threw the gear away and it kept sailing. I had a 15m crawl on my belly to catch it. At least it got stuck in the mud.
We came in and everyone else went out. It looked like it had kicked in by then and everyone was looking very fast.

On the way out I almost got cleaned up by the black recovery 4WD flying around a corner on the way to help someone.

Nice sailing today in a 12-15ish knot S/W. Note: this direction from the spit takes you to the rock garden, as a few found out. I was pre-warned by the fact that when people were standing I could see thier knees. Thanks also to Dion who was signaling to warn others.
