I love windsurfing, have been sailing for many years but only really improved recently. The reason is the GTC, the friendship and rivalry of the GTC has meant  I have spent more time on the water, it is the only way I can really improve(not a quick learner).

Joined GTC 18 Feb 08 and wow do I sail more now

With enthusiasm rather than great skill at my disposal distance is the division I really enjoy and do best at. Getting gybes right more of the time has been an outcome and enabler for doing more distance. Need to get the foot change right though as I still am not even close with it!

 

after sailing 8200kms on the Mandurah estuary, I moved to Albany, fortunately I met Cliff as he de rigged in a spot that loked as though there was no water. It turned out to be a sensational flat water spot, although relatively short it has produced some great cross wind hours, awesome alphas and when the tide is high most of the best NMs in WA. The small area has reduced my distance per session but improved my gybing immensely. It has been great seeing sailors travel from the Perth to Bunbury area  to Albany and enjoy the smooth water and consistent winds.
